A trip you must take!
Taking a nature break in a picturesque environment has a positive outcome on your wellbeing and the effect from the smell of aromatic plants can boost your happiness. We from Scapetacular have visited such a park that includes nature, fun, and education for the whole family.
Cyherbia is situated in Avgorou, southwestern Famagusta District. When we arrived at the park, a group of tourists were having a tour around by Mrs. Miranda Tringis , the owner of this scapetacular landscape. She was happily taking groups around the garden discussing the uses of herbs, and the medicinal effects teaching and explaining the process of extraction of oils from the plants. On appearance, you could automatically sense the love and passion that has been put into to making this Nature Park in Cyprus. The garden is not just a place to buy herbs and herbal products, it’s a place to come and learn about them while enjoying the surroundings.
It is a great example of how we can appreciate landscape and nature in a playful and educational way by strolling through the park and gardens that have been designed with care and detail.
There are many park features that are interesting and fun to explore. The park is divided into a woodland park experience, laid out in the form of the island of Cyprus, a maze and the herbal gardens.

Mediterranean herbs are not only good for you, they are aesthetically pleasing and do well in the environment we live here in Cyprus and therefore we should use them as much as possible.
Designing landscapes
Considering sustainability is a very important factor when designing a landscape for minimum environmental impact. Reusing materials on site, the use of local materials and choosing plants that are native to the environment play a vital role. This can be observed in the park as it is in perfect harmony with its surrounding.
Festivals and events
The park is arranging several festivals throughout the year that can not be found alike in Cyprus. The fairy festival in May is a great highlight for kids with fairytale costumes and fantasy full of fun. A place that takes you into the world of elves and fairies.
Another upcoming festival we are looking forward is the lavender festival in June. A fantastic experience of being in a garden when all the lavender is in full bloom. You will feel as you going to a trip to the Provence. The event will hold many activities, such as the extraction of lavender oil, cooking with lavender, photoshoots and enjoying freshly made products from lavender.
An event you should not miss.
A Park to enjoy your senses
The preparation and hard work over 8 years to create this landscaped park have paid off. Today we can enjoy a park that is unique in its kind and gives visitors a destination for relaxation, meditation, education or just an adventurous day in nature.
We would like to hear about your experience in the gardens to see if you loved it as much as we did.
